The Alabama State Association of Cooperatives (ASAC), also known as the Alabama Cooperatives Association is an association of cooperatives that was established in 1972 as the state member affiliate of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives in Alabama. The ASAC has 9 cooperative and associate members which include producers, artisans, and credit unions with approximately 5,000 individual members. The membership included four active agricultural cooperatives; a worker cooperative producing quilts and other sewn items: a land and housing management association, a community development cooperatives and two rural community development organizations.
