Welcome to ASAC
Welcome to the Alabama State Association of Cooperatives, affectionately known as the Alabama Cooperatives Association. Founded in 1972, we're the state's connection to the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund, right here in sweet home Alabama. Our association boasts a robust network of 15 cooperative and associate members, ranging from hardworking producers and artisans to dedicated credit unions, uniting approximately 5,000 individuals under one cooperative banner.

Our diverse membership roster includes four active agricultural cooperatives, a worker cooperative renowned for its exquisite quilts and sewn treasures, a land and housing management association, a community development cooperative, and two rural community development credit unions. It's all part of our mission to nurture a supportive, cooperative community across Alabama, fostering growth, collaboration, and prosperity.

We extend a warm invitation to you to learn more about our efforts and how you might join us in making a difference in our communities. Together, we're keeping the spirit of cooperation alive and well in the Heart of Dixie.
